The Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights 2023

International Spy Museum

CASE STUDY

location:

PHOTOGRAPHER:

To celebrate the work of over 240 coalition members fighting for and supporting civil and human rights and to acknowledge the necessary and continued fight forward.

Event Goals:

‘We the Majority’ is the organizations brand message so we used it throughout the space in physical branding as well as the underlying theme for each activation. Representation and truth and power in numbers is what creates significant impact to drive change.

Brand Messaging:

Batala Drum Line – guests were entertained by a dynamic performance from Washington, DC’s all female Afro-Brazilian drum band and is comprised of all volunteers regardless of race, religion, income, sexual orientation, or musical experience.

Wine and beverage program – we partnered with LGBTQIA owned Grape Intentions to design a portfolio of wine and spirits from marginalized, BIPOC and/or women-owned businesses. Guests could read about their individual initiatives while visiting the bar.

To bring all of the guests together for remarks in a narrow venue, we engaged a fabulous troupe of drag kings and queens to serve as party and pep rally starters.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Celebrating Judicial Diversity:

“The Courts Should Look Like Us” allowed us to highlight several of the judges that were appointed throughout the year due to the work of the organization. Guests could see and immerse themselves within these images for a photo experience.

Engaging Minds in Community Knowledge:

“Did You Know?” – we designed and built a custom quiz game that guests could take featuring a selection of questions involving community, government and civil and human rights. Larger screens featured the games in real time for bystanders to participate as well.

Reflecting Unity

The ‘We The Majority Selfie Mirror’ was designed for guests to see themselves reflected in the artwork of some of the various coalition initiatives s a means for social sharing
